The Joseph E. Presutti Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in 2008 in memory of Joe Presutti. This scholarship honors his life and his support of education. Joe believed in encouraging youth to pursue their dreams.
Joseph was born on April 30, 1922 and passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2007. Born in Olean, he was a graduate of Belmont High School and served in the Army in Europe during World War II.
Mr. Presutti began his career with the county after returning from the service, working as a clerk-typist in Family and Surrogate courts. Later, he was named deputy county clerk and became clerk in 1976. He served for more than a quarter of a century as Allegany County clerk.
