Friendship Free Library Receives Money from the Susan Foster Myers Fund

Friendship – The Allegany County Area Foundation recently awarded a $154.02 grant to the Friendship Free Library. Michelle Hill, Director of the Friendship Free Library, said that the money would be used to purchase new curtains for the Children’s Room the library. This award was made possible from the earnings of the Susan Foster Myers Memorial Endowment Fund.
The Susan Foster Myers Memorial Endowment Fund was established in 2014 by Alan W. Myers as a memorial to his wife. The purpose of the endowment fund is to support the Friendship Free Library so that it may continue to thrive and continue to serve the community into the future. Each year the earnings from this endowed fund will be used to help improve the programs of the library.
