The Cuba Chamber of Commerce Receives Check

Cuba Legacy Fund Check

The Allegany County Area Foundation recently presented a $2,258.00 check to the Cuba Chamber of Commerce which will be used to make improvements on the facade of their building on West Main Street in Cuba. This money comes from the earnings of their Cuba Legacy Fund which was established at the Foundation in May of 2013.

The Cuba Legacy Fund was created to support the needs of the Cuba community. This fund provides a prudent and effective way to assure that the Cuba Chamber can continue to assist the needs of their community for many years to come. The endowed fund is pooled with the other $8 million plus assets of the ACAF. These funds are held in perpetuity. Each year the interest earned by this fund is available for ongoing projects of the Cuba Chamber of Commerce.

Donations to both the Cuba Legacy Fund and their Cuba-Rushford Toys for Kids Fund may be made directly to the foundation. Donations may be made online through PayPal or credit card and by check directly to the Foundation. The ACAF will provide tax receipts specific to these designated funds. Donors may choose to donate to whichever fund that they wish.

If you would like more information on how you can provided a legacy of hope and good will in your community, please contact the Allegany County Area Foundation at 585-808-8444.
