Kane PresentationWhen asked about the purpose of this new scholarship Mr. Kane stated, “My parents knew, demonstrated, and stressed the value of a good college education. When they were young, not everyone had the opportunity to attend college. They worked long and hard to achieve their goals of earning a college degree. Then they each enjoyed long and fulling careers as a teacher and a banker. When I was to finish high school, my parents encouraged me to find a college that would offer me the best opportunity to achieve my dream. They were always there to encourage, motivate and support me in all my endeavors. Therefore, I am establishing the Kane Family Scholarship in honor of my parents. I hope this scholarship will make it a little easier for a highly-motivated, hard-working graduate to achieve the college degree and job of their dreams.”

For this scholarship, preference will be given to students who are pursuing a career in finance or education. The recipients must have a high school GPA of at least 2.7 (80%) or a college GPA of 2.5. Also, the recipients must demonstrate a strong work ethic.  Applicants may apply online through the ACAF website.
