The Cuba Circulating Library Receives ACAF Grant

The Allegany County Area Foundation recently awarded a $500 grant to the Cuba Circulating Library to help them improve their “Tween” seating area. The grant money will be used to help purchase a new area rug, some floor rocker chairs, and a few throw pillows. This will help provide a new seating area for the children ages 9 – 12.

Tina Dalton, Youth Services Coordinator at the library said, “The library will be more well suited to serve the recreational needs of students, while providing a welcoming place that supports students’ interests and appreciation of reading and learning. The new seating space will also allow the library to bring people and information together in a comfortable atmosphere.”
The Cuba Circulating Library has served the Cuba community since 1872. It is open: Monday – Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 8 pm; and on Saturday, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. For more information please visit their web site at: www.cubalibrary.org .
