Grant Helps to Bring The Big Meal to Allegany County

The Allegany County Area foundation recently awarded an $850 grant to the Olean Community Theatre. This grant will help to bring the production of The Big Meal to the Palmer House in Cuba, NY on March 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Somewhere in America, in a typical suburban restaurant on a typical night, Sam and Nicole first meet.  Sparks fly.  And so begins an expansive tale that traverses five generations of a modern family, from first kiss to final goodbye.  This is a stunning, big-hearted play that spans nearly 80 years.  Packed with humanity and humor and delivered in a unique style, The Big Meal tells the extraordinary story of an ordinary family using three couples and two children.

The director of this show, Ken Roberts, is a seasoned director and founding member of the Olean Community Theatre. He also serves as treasurer of the theatre group. Ken is sought after for his skill and expertise in set design, lighting and sound equipment. He will be flanked by other experienced Olean Community Theatre members.
