Child Passenger Safety Seat Program Receives Grant

Ardent SolutionsWellsville, NY – Ardent Solutions recently received a $1,000.00 grant from the Allegany County Area Foundation to help fund their Child Passenger Safety Seat Program. This money will be used to assist with the purchase of child passenger safety seats and booster seats. Using a car seat is the best protection you can give your child when traveling by car. Every state in the United States requires that an infant or small child be restrained. And with good reason — unintentional injury is the leading cause of death in children, and most such injuries are automobile crashes.

Ardent Solutions’ Child Safety Seat Distribution Program will assist low income families and others in obtaining the correct seat for their children. Car seats are made available for free to parents and legal guardians of children from birth until the child is ready to ride safely without a seat. To view the eligibility requirements for this program please visit their web site at: or contact Brian Perkins at 585-593-5223, ext. 12.
